Featured Gate July 2016
Osprey Ridge is a residential development located at the scenic Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, WA.
We were first approached by the developer to install these gates as part of the infrastructure to sequester the lots from the nearby aquatic center and other amenities. The firstgate was installed on the lot where the introductory real estate sales event was held. This event was designed to show-off the new properties, and their spectacular views, to potential buyers. Following this successful event, Suncadia decided to install gates at the other 10 properties. Coordination between the site development team at Suncadia, masons, and other trades was critical, but in the end, it all went off without a hitch! The new owners now have beautiful entrances to their recreational properties at this prestigious development.
All 11 gates mirror the design of the first gate we installed. They are all equipped with telephone entry, vehicle safety loops, and inside and outside photo eyes for pedestrian safety. Additionally, they are all cantilevered off the ground. This is especially important due to the snow accumulation during the winter months. Typical sliding gates roll on a v-groove track. However, when debris, such as snow, accumulates on the track, the gates functionality is put at risk which could damage the gate operator.Additionally, the v-groove could be damaged by the blade of the snow plow in the event that the owners need their driveway plowed.
